You can paddle from the boat access ramp at the sailing club. This is located at the end of Hang Hau Wing Lung Road off of Clear Water Bay. I have uploaded an aerial foto of this point.

where to view from
if u go to the parking lot at asia supermarket, you can have a perfect view of the reef. when i saw the long barrels of 45 secs, this was just before and after a typhoon when the winds were down. i have seen ppl surfing there, but they had gone by junk. btw, this point to view from is above silverstrand beach. does this ring a bell? this where most of the tiger shark attacks of the early 90s took place. so, dont paddle out to the island like i did.

where the hell is this place???
hey guys this place sounds crazy, but it seams to be one of those places which no one knows where it is and how to get there. if any one has any idea of how to get to this place then please post a comment on where it is, how u get there, and when it starts working.

Barrels
I have seen that barrel up to 45 secs too. Once I paddled out there from the sailing club. Took a good 40 minutes to get there. The reef is made of large volcanic boulders covered with barnacles. Has anyone been able to get one of those long barrels?
