ok ...it sucks green ball is a nice spot if you get it on the right day, and it runs well on many days in bali. Im not going to tell you when is best, sure you can work it out for yourselves. Maybe see you in the water...

Worst place in Bali Really strong rips, this place is for experienced surfers only. The monkeys will mess with your stuff and run off with it while you are surfing The cliffs here are some of the highest in Bali, the walk back up takes ages and will leave you with sore legs for days.

march/april '07 It's a good wave. The swell was abit lumpy when we were there but sometimes the shifting peak was to our advantage, some waves with character. The left in my eyes is'nt worth the current which keeps you there, good way to get your paddling hours up.The locals can't film to good, keep giving them lessons lads and hopefully they will get better. They filmed the sand and sky for us.The stairs are good for you, I ran them.

Sucks! I checked it serveral times the last days and it was always pretty bad... No shape and messy. I guess you have to be there on your lucky day (once a year) to get it good...

Nice wave during the wet season I was there at the end of january and it was my favorite spot, a short powerful right wave, a bit scary sometimes...If you like uncrowded spot, don't miss it!and...the 328 steps of the stairs...

scary scary scary Well, I surfed this place about 8 years ago with 2 mates...we were the only ones on it and it was about 4-6 foot...very consistent and very, very shallow on the inside. I have never feared for my life as much as at this place and I wouldn't surf it again. I got stuck inside after one wave and when I finally made it out again I spot a shark comin right towards me...my mate saw it too and started paddling in as a big set was looming out the back, my other mate was already on the beach. I just turned around and got pushed into the reef by a closeout set to avoid Jaws...hairy stuff...this place I heard later is notorious for sharks...if u surf it keep your eyes peeled.

Not bad A good wave, needs a small swell for Bali and a no wind day, works from 3-8 feet, picks up all swell, best at low to mid tide, if big tides there are LOTS of currents around. Sucky drop with a long wall, sometimes barrels, sometimes closes out, but not too shallow on the reef. Not world class, but still pretty good. Doesn,t handle a crowd, as its only about 80m long. Best at 6 feet plus, it breaks in fairly deep water.

Greenball March 9, 2004 - surfed it with one Brazilian and one Canadian. Hello to you guys if you are out there and happen to be checking this site. You'll know who I am, because I was the loud mouth Aussie ranting about perfect waves on my birthday. I just couldn't keep my mouth shut, mind you...all three of us where hollering and hooting quite a bit. I don't reckon this wave is why you go to Bali. It can be quite sorta fickle with wave quality and surfers alike. Two days after surfing it with only 3 of us out, I took my girl there - and there was a bloody contest on! I shit you not! It can get real good - it's powerful and sets can come from nowhere. I agree with some previous comments, the stairs...not for the inexperienced and that rip! The first time I surfed here, I thought I'd paddle across the channel and surf the left. Yeah - real bloody smart with a tide going out at a great rate of knots and the remnants of too many Bintangs taking it's toll. Seriously though, you really want to be careful if you are going to surf around here, you're probably better off at Nusa Dua.
