surfing in Vietnam
The surf seems inconsistent to me, but with a bit of luck you will find something--and the water's warm. probably sept. to april is best. boards to rent, mostly longboards, at Hoas place on the beach right in front of marble mountains. great character and has rooms to rent, laid back kind of place. da nang, also has surf and is busier. beach break all the way from da nang to hoi an. also surf in vang tau and kite surfing at mni ne. if you are very lucky at mui ne there is a great tuby wave.

Surf Season
VN only has surf for 5 months in the NE monsoon (mid October - mid March). During the summer typhoon season you will probably have to wait 2 months for a one day swell so don't bother taking a board unless you're going during the NE monsoon.
