Summerlands Access
Go to the penguin parade on Phillip Island. You can only go there between 9 am and 4am
You need to go up a dirt road and you will see a a path with a gate that should be opened. Go in there. That gate is locked now, and unaccessible. You have to walk down the boardwalk of the penguin parade, which is on the same road, right next to the corner of the penguin parade building, there is a big gate, and it has the closing times displayed on it (9-5 I think)

Additional Surfing Infos
Good spot when Wooli is to big and chopped out. Needs a big swell to be good.
  Overview
Atmosphere Great spot no-one out most the time. It's a bit shallow so watch out for the rocks.
General Great spot. Experienced surfers only, watch out for the penguins and sharks can be a problem round here due to being pretty close to the nobbies.

Can be a classic
Summerlands, had some epic sessions there, especially when the swell is big. Can hold quite a big swell, plus when it is big, the reef in the centre of the bay (Centre Crack) breaks. I had an epic session there about 12 years ago it got up to 10ft(face), I was only 15 at the time, so it probably wasn't that big, but it was basically a big take off with a bit of a barrel, then it turned into shorebreak, which gets quite hollow, and eventually closing out. This place works well in a westerly wind (can't remember who said it before), usually everywhere else is crap, YCW used to be ok, but it's just a big closeout now. So we went off to Summerlands :DBefore the Penguin Parade built the bloody boardwalk there was a river that ran out into the sea, which made the shorebreak a lot better, and it put some sand on the point. The island used to be a lot better than it is now. Is there anyone out there who agrees?

A reward for patience
Get to know this wave and reap the rewards. When its big and lining up she will show you her best, but you have to get to know her - tubes, shoulders to play on and a great reform shorebreak tube on the right day - if you know how to pick the right wave, and you ride it right. The centrebreak is fun too - a sucking, jacking takeoff, and a fun wall into an inside-out shorebrak - holds up to 2.5m at low tide, but be quick to your feet or meet the reef. And yeah I've seen sharks, especially a monster one out there (25'+) over 30 years ago, but they don't eat people, there's too much other good stuff for them around the area.
