Checking from UWI
If its REALLY big, you can see reefs breaking outside of Batts Rock and Paradise from the cafeteria balcony. But then again, its been YEARS since I've sat out there :-D

when it says that you can see the break from the cafeteria at UWI, you cannot! trees are in the way..... its about a 5-10min walk down the hill from the school and thats the best way to check it out first.....

Only on North swell
Read the comment about the guy getting drilled Feb 2002.
German dude with his wife and baby watching from the beach...a long hold down!

We were the other two guys in the lineup!

You would never know this place ever breaks and won't
under chest high!

Super Solid
Go left or right. Whatever you like. Sit on the beach and check it for a while. Watch the tide as it rises almost to the rock wall. Don't surf this wave if you are into waves by yourself.

February swell at Batts
On dawn patrol February 2002, we caught Batts Rock breaking
just overhead. A long paddle straight out to a tiny rock ledge. The wave is a powerful fast-short wedge,a fun drop with little shoulder. Not for the beginner though. A guy got drilled upon take off-held down real long and came up scraped and dazed.
