Drive to the very end of the road to the "Villinginsalmi". Park your car there and paddle over the channel to the Villinki island. Walk to the opposite shore of the island (south/eastshore) you will see the waves braking.
There are two waves braking around the Villinki Bay. The First one brakes closer to the shore and is always righthander. The second one brakes more outer over the reef. Water is relatively deep (3 ft) there and the wave is more like lefthand poinbrake-wave. When swell is big you will find there one of the best lefthanders in the Helsinki area. Cold but still fun!!
No surf
We tried to surf Villinki last week but it did not work. The waves were not breaking at all. The wind was around 12 m/s SW.

Visting Sept. 13- 16. Want to surf!
I'm a Finn from the U.S, New England area, who has just started surfing this season. I would love to get a session in while I'm there in Finland. Any one know where I can rent a board and wet suit and catch some surf?
