theres a good chance ill be moving to Holland next march for a year. just wanted some thoughts on wetsuit requirements? would a brand new 4/3 along with booties gloves and hood be warm enough? ill probably get one of those insulated rash vests as well, which is like an extra mm on your wetsuit.... warm enough?also, whats the conistency like? how often is it big enough to surf?

go dutchies go! all messages seem to be either trying to big up or to bring down the dutch waves. I'm dutch myself, i started my surfing life there. yeh, its not great, in fact I moved abroad to enjoy a better quality surfing life...but when you are there, and you want to surf, at least there's some. I guess I'm saying - don't go there for a surftrip OK?Scheveningen and Wijk aan Zee are your best bets - and in most cases the wind is your friend - go and check it out on an incomming tide combined with a light-moderate westerly wind, you'l surprised how much fun surfing there can be. And you'll also be surprised how much some of the locals get out of those waves - these kids have it wired man.keep surfing, wherever you can

Holland does score... If you believe that the surf in holland is only shit, then your are wrong. There is a movie out called "The first light", which is a great movie by the way. And yeah, while its not Indo, Black or J-Bay, they do have a lot of fun out there and thats what counts. Check out the clip on www.s4l.com and go to interactive. Really good music as well and some of those guys rip! This clip shows that on any given day there is surf anywhere.

keonie bring the board take your board with you but dont get to over exicited most of the time it is a weak wind wave but there are days that are worth it but it doesnt get over 4ft and some spots are over crowded but hey you could deffinitly get some good waves but dont count on once a week more like every 4-5 weeks

I am wondering if i carry my surfboard with me because there are lots of opinions about the waves overthere so if you guys can tell me something about this i will be very pleased.. thanks.Keoni
