don't book in advance..
.. we booked part of a house from one of the surf schools and they really screwed us on the price compared to what others getting the same package only paying on the spot was paying. You can always find a nice little peak in praia do baleal for youself, and its really good for learning. Keep your eyes open for spots and waves to your liking along the bay, and go in the high tide. If you wanna buy gear, go to 58 surf shop. Really helpful and definitely the best around.
