Blyth Beach Access
From Newcastle head to Tynemouth (following the signs to "Beach"). Once on the sea front head North towards Whitley Bay and Seaton Sluice. Just after Seaton Sluice you have multiple choices, turn right at the roundabout and park to surf Seaton Sluice. Or go straight at the roundabout and along the road and select any car park on the right depending on which part of the beach is working best.

Additional Surfing Infos
Blyth beach is a couple miles long, so should never be too busy. The huge pier at the North end can clean up a N swell but does tend to cut the size.
4 main car parks: Seaton Sluice, South Car Park (next to speed camera), Middle Car Park and North Car park (Opposite South Beach Housing Estate).
  Overview
Atmosphere In my opinion a better spot than Tynemouth. Can handle size pretty well (with a surfable reform close in if its real big), and on a good day can be super steep and hollow. As its such a long beach there is always one part of it working.
The shape of the beach can change quite a bit after storms so its impossible to say which part of the beach is the best except for the following general comments:
In a N swell the N of the beach is usally small so head to the middle car park or Seaton Sluice.
In a S swell, the N end usually catches the most swell.

Blyth or Tynemouth
On a northerly swell if its working at Blyth then its gonna be bigger at tynmouth, but if its working at Tynmouth its gonna be packed there, with a few non too friendly locals spoiling the day.Blyth is always a more sociable spot and on its day can work well.
