re: californian in London
Hey, so, you're in London. Probably chosen the worst place in the UK if you're into surfing.
The south coast has hardly any swell, as does the south east coasts.
You need to get down to cornwall and devon (about 5 or 6 hours to the west of London). It's there that we have our best breaks.
We also have decent breaks on the Yorkshire coasts about 5 hours north of London. Check Saltburn and Cayton Bay. Pretty decent on their day.
But all in all, go down to Cornwall if you want the best waves (holding up to 2.5 metres easily).
You should have gone and studied at Bristol or Plymouth or something.... somewhere closer to the surf!

QH1P1D First there is the need to find the real meaning life has for you. This journey we are all on is a varied one, for sure, but there are some similar things we are all going through.

Each of us, in our search for meaning in life, has a vast amount of experience to draw upon. Our struggles and hardship, along with our achievements and blessings, teach us life’s lessons. Your experience, your strength and the hope that endures are part of your unique story — and part of the reason why you should tell your life story.

The second primary reason to tell your life story is to leave your mark. We all want to be remembered. Certainly we want to be remembered for the good we've done and for the significant accomplishments in our lives. There is satisfaction in a life well-lived. Living a life fully... richly experiencing what it means to be alive and involved in helping others is a great thing. To share with others who you are, what you are about and what you believe in is passing on some very valuable personal history.

wrong wave size
If you go to witterings and you use the surf report at the 2 surf shop there, what ever size they tell you, its 4 time smaller,(4-5ft is waights high), not good if you drive along way for a surf, so if they tell you its 2ft expect it to be ankle high. Hope it helps you out.
