To the Arab Go and hide behing your alias you scum. You and your creed are always looking for conflict.I disagree with the other post. Surfing won't resolve our differences.Go and drown.

How about windsurfing conditions now ? I'm a bit more interested in Masirah Island than America.I usually write 'O' to look up Norway on www.windguru.com. Resently I've seen that Masirah Island has amazingly 11 m/s at exactly four o'clock every afternoon!!! And with 3-4 m waves all day, every day. Is this for real. I went to Oman 30 years ago with my dad as a kid, when we lived in Dubai. Looks like Oman needs to be revisited.

unpolitically incorrected i love talking politics on surf sites. as for americans causing world poverty. question: how did humanity get by before there was such a thing as money?answer: they did.just because one nation has been extemely successful doesn't make it responsible for the welfare of the entire world. sure, unbridled capitalism won't succeed, just as communism didn't. some form of mild socialism ultimately, should be every nations destiny. yet the woes of the undeveloped world are not at all attributable to the successes of the u.s..a person making a pittance per hour, relative to the wages in the u.s.. this would seem like an injustice to the under educated westerner. yet once the cost of living in that country is considered, an entirely different picture emerges. if you were to look at the u.s. trade deficit you would see that we are in fact exporting opportunity to other countries at the expense of our own middle and lower class. while i disagree with this practice for obvious reasons, (ie: making things easier for the upperclass in the u.s. while eliminating middle and lower class jobs) it contradicts the theory that we are exploiting under developed countries. if you look at the facts and not the propaganda, you will see that we are actually exploiting ourselves for the benefit of the hyper wealthy. as mao zedong put it, capitalists are "running dogs." and although mao was a jack ass, i believe bush is a runner up on the opposite side of the spectrum. the real obstacles to poverty are governments which seek absolute control, economically, socially, and politically. once everyone is set free, so to speak, things will work themselves out. in the interim however, there wil be conflict and blood shed (easy to say from the comfort of my own civilised society). evolution is painful, especially when you throw coscienceness into the mix. conscious evoloution is visible. originating in central africa where genocide, rape, and the like are rampant, to the middle east where people first sought to understand existence through a metaphorical god, (taken literally in the mainstream of most religions). the source of judaism, christianity, and islam. (all religions sharing the same history, and the same prophets) to secular europe where mainstream and extreme are tolerated along with the agnostics. let's just remember that we are ants seeing a snapshot of the world that is far too small to draw conclusios from. let's just f***ing surf and forget all the bulls**t.

surfing not politics Its amazing that this has turned into a political debate, I am an American and have lived all over Oman for three years and havent gotten so much as a dirty look. The locals are friendly and generous and very laid back. Women wont have any problem travelling here as long as they dress modestly when away from the beach (jeans and tshirt). I cant attest to the surfing in Masirah yet, Im moving there for work next month and will be sure to let everyone know. But Oman is definatly safe. There are thousands of western expats living in Oman and there hasnt been a single act of terrorism directed against Americans in the nations history. The party scene is nonexistant but so is street crime, in whole its kind of boring but relaxing.
