Comment: Cartagena South of Jetty Whack! This spot is on the south side of the Las Velas Jetty. Very good spot when the surf is on the bigger side. Usually not crowded at all but watch for urchins. I got stung pretty bad here. Also on bigger days watch the inside. There's no escape if you get caught on the inside. The only way out is up the razor sharp rocks on the facing wall where the waves break into. I risked it and broke a board and a few cuts. I was lucky.
