Very Nice - This is a world class left hander. Do not try to get here from Manzanillo (North), the drive is insane. There is really nothing to do here but surf and hang with other surfers. Have fun.
Beach is almost gone!!! - Just got back from a month down in Nexpa...The beach has totally disappeared!!! Since the river hasn't fully blown out in years, there has been no sand to replenish the beach... One of the big restaurants got destroyed from the erosion and alot of the cabanas are getting washed out by waves because there is no beach to protect them from the pounding shorebreak...Because of this, the current was irregularly strong and the paddle takes Fargin days to get out. Wave has totally mushed out too...NEXPA IS IN BIG TROUBLE!

who was first?? - drug smugglers in 1976
Nexpa History - Anybody know when Nexpa was first surfed? or any other Nexpas history? I haven't been there since the 80's but have great memories of the place.
what happened to nexpa? - i just came back from a good surf trip to mexico. all was fun with good people and good waves. the one exception is nexpa. totally over run by old pissed off white guys from the USA. the waves were weak and wind blown. the worst part was the cost. sure, it's been many years since i made it that far south from texas, but could it really cost that much more these days to rent the same old cabana? man, it was like $40-$60 US dollars a night to basically sleep in the dirt. even my old buddy jorge was raking in the big bucks from these old geezers and rich mexicans. now they call it an eco tourism park and charge money to walk out on the sand bar. WTF?!?!?!?!? well, no need to go back there as we scored countless empty waves north of nexpa. wink wink on the secret spot up there... north of nexpa. safe journeys, texas dave
Have you found... - I lost my virginity on that beach. Has anyone found it? I was just wondering. Thought maybe it had washed up in the surf. Oh wait, there is no surf down there. Never mind!
- I was just down there, nobody with masks walking around, seemed like most people got sick over a year ago in Caleta including myself.
People are sick - I heard lots of locals are sick down there. Don't know if it's swine flu or what. locals even wearing masks in Caleta to protect themselves. Wrong place, wrong time and I wouldn't risk it! If you get sick down there who's gonna help you? Not the local doctor because there ain't one.
Sick in the Head is better than sick and in bed
Cam - I was there in October with hurricane like winds and plenty of rain, but the surf wasn't any noticably bigger. A bit too close I'm afraid.
Nope - Nope, no waves once again @ Nexpa! This place is a drag. Only reason I'm here is 'cause my Dad is working in Morelia. This place sucks!!!! Wish I were back home in H.B. right now, Johnny Almine
