great spot - when you are done from work and have only an hour to surf it's fun. it's near by and you always catch some e.z. to ride waves.

- I surf tower 29 a lot, and farther north as well, and i really pretty much enjoy it. its crowded but you get plenty of waves. its not localized at all, there are no evil vibes. it can get pretty good at times, not too great when its really big, but otherwise, it can hold decent shape sometimes. I dunno, ive never been hassled here, which i cant say for many other spots, so hey.
and ive never gotten sick either.

- Used to live in Santa monica, even went to samohi, now a San Clemente local...but grew up longboarding and bodyboarding various spots around there. It had a few good waves back in the day, especially for a little kid. by the way, I have never gotten sick from being in LA water.

Sorento - I grew up surfing SM. Depending on the sandbars it can actually get really good, sometimes epic. You can either go south of the pier or north of the pier to station 8, which is Chet Sorento baby. It's basically the same wave. While it does get really good (the wave is similar to zuma or porto), most of the time its closed out and sucks. If the sandbars are not happening it can actually suck for many months at a time. The swell direction also influences the shape. These last few months have had some classic days.
