- I will be there in June, just another surfer to take up the break. Actually if its by the river you can have it I don't feel like surfing in that much pollution. Looking forward to seeing everyone in Hualien. Hang loose.

Hualien people should chill out - What is up with the Hualien surfers who act all gungho about protecting their spots from non-locals? Half these guys dont even surf that much.

Born and grew up in Hualian. - I may know the guy who owns a plot of land up on the hill and it happens he is a good surfer too, but I do not know the guy who would say something unwise like that. ~~I will be there forever, see you around!~~

- What ever. No one's teaching illegally and it is a tight group of Taiwanese AND Foreigners. Sorry man, never seen you there.

- But, the people who call it their homebreak are expatriates that aren't from the area. Fongbing is no big deal. Only the paranoid Aussies teaching English illegally in Hualien are the one's looking around too much. I've been surfing there since the late 70's. I own a plot of land up on the hill.

Locals - The break does NOT support too many people and there are a few surfers that call this place their home break. Be careful respect that!
