ok - Chris, Durban
I surfed Coffee Bay late winter around July, super glassy. It's weird, even NE seems like a sideshore. I had some fun waves, but nothing spectacular, the banks weren't great. I was the only guy surfing and it was a bit spooky for sharks, but no worries. Watch out for the current towards the cliff, otherwise it was an easy paddle and surfable 3-4 feet lefts and rights. Local tuned me that on high tide there are really fun lefts in the middle that can go off. Coffee Bay is seriously one of the nicest places I have been in South Africa as well, it is laid back and very cool, worth a week for sure...
