A lot of swell is blocked by the islands, but in winter swell is quite frequent and if the banks are good its worth a surf. A lot of the time unsurfable, poor swell, if it gets big it gets instantly busy, if its going off, you have to almost apply for a wave. Have a look but dont expect anything spectactular.
