Henry don't Surf - Hell yeah she,s haunted out there,I don't mind the sharks but usually we have boat or ski drama's,We were tow surfing 4.5m swell last winter alone and all was good(real good)Then it all went wrong,Badly wrong.the long n skinny is we didnt get home till 2;30 am the next morning.$3g damage but lucky to have made it inn, It,s a great wave, the best in Perth but there,s something up in that area. Read Ghost of the Alkimos by Jack wong Sue.We dont go there much anymore but if you do stay away from the wreck.

9 year old hard man - you guys are a bunch of kindy kids, i went out at alkimos on a 5 metre day riding half a broken foamy and ripped so much the waves wimpered. I tore it to pieces so much that it has never broken since. I ate a raw white pointer as i paddled the two kays back to the beach towing the wreck behind me, which i have since refloated with playdough and turned into a floating brothel.

Some spots are better with company - The Alkimos is certainly one place where you like to see another boat. We had a set come in that nearly flipped our 21 foot boat that was parked to the West-North-West, and certainly dragged the anchor.
Don't take the left for the extra section, it's a f'ing long paddle back and stepping off at mid tide will see you land about calf deep on sharp things, with no easy way back, especially when pumping. If you can't face a little loss of skin and blood in the water with a decent paddle back to the boat in a notorious shark spot, just don't go...
