English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Park on the left of the bay and paddle out in between the big boudlers. Paddling straight out from the beach looks impossible so use the boulders as protection from the surf. The pictures are from the smaller break, I'm not sure if people paddle out to the bigger break but be careful you do.
Atmosphère
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Heavy surf with boulders and rips. The locals say this place picks up swell even when other places are flat. Have fun.

t-bay - t-bay can be real good,it's barely ever truely flat,if its under two foot just head over the hill to nine miles.but saying that, its openess to the swell and wind is its downfall,it is often just too out of control to surf unless you're paitent, have balls and are ultra fit,and even then the wind is likely to kill it.my best tips for getting out is to use the rip along the rocks at high tide and at low tide to jump of jesus rock, someone will kindly point it out for you.also despite common belief, the westcoast is generally alot warmer than the rest of the south island during winter, you can get away without booties and even just a three/two wettie, locals dont realise that,i should know i was one

gettin out at t bay - theres two easier ways of gettin out at the bay either through the rip at hightide or at low to mid tide off the jesus rock at the end of the road, someone will point you to where it is,although it can get sketchy on the bigger days.iv watched many a person get their beatings trying to jump off that rock
