I had a real good time here, as a beginner, I probably was doing it all wrong!! I have to confess, I was bodyboarding (shoot me now!), but it was real fun and there were some pretty big waves; however, I noticed that the waves come along in sets of 5 or so, then it'll go flat as a pancake, I was just about ready to give up when they started going off again. If you have a look at the rocky outcrop at the east point of the cove, you can get an advance warning of when it's about to happen.
