The most consistant beach break on Guernsey, portifer is usually 2ft bigger than vazon. Best of the down tide, Portinfer start breaking a mid-tide producing rights and lefts in the middle of the bay. The lower the tide the more hollow and powerful the wave becomes, unfortunately it also has more of a tendancy to close out.
Atmosphere
Portifer tends to be the only place to surf at lower tides during average swells so get often get crowded. Generally very average quality, can occasionally produce good waves with a strong swell and offshore winds.
General
Okay, better than nothing at low tide.

stoke on slop - I recon vazon is better. It's more consistent and has more options. The crowd gets spread so I get more waves!!Someone seriously needs to educate these cocky kids though, masses of snakings and drop-ins, I know it's not serious surf and therefore not serious consequences from drop-ins, but it's still freakin annoying.
