English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): This is one of a number of semi-secret waves between Bude and Widemouth. On its day a really good wave. Access is a bit tricky because the cliffs are pretty sheer.

lol... - i think you'd better wait for an earthquake, or landslide. or maybe a meteor strike would turn this into a surf spot. i was up there with my five year old daughter the other day and when i told her the place is listed as a surf spot she just looked at me, giggled and said 'doesn't look very good for surfing to me'. maybe she should start her own surf spot site as she seems to have more of a clue than most of the geeks who p[ost 'spots' here.

Newgay - no chance - Wow, if Newgay is 3-4ft glass, i can come here instead and surf 4ft straight mushburgers onto rocks :-)I can't wait for the right swell and the planets to line up for a classic sesh.

Philips??? - isnt this spot called upton???by the way that pic is rubbish as the spot is attually a beach break with rocks to the right, thats why people call it a point break and its only surfable at low to mid tide because at high it breaks onto pebbles.
