Depressing - What a terrible place. I visited last year for a few days and I regret bringing my board. Dirty and cold water, small sloppy waves and depressing industrial setting. Rock-a-Nore is supposed to be better but I never saw it working in the time I was there. Hastings as a place has a bad rep and a lot of nutters (legacy of Thatcher's care in the community - she sent them all down here) and this is aptly reflected by the attitude shown by locals in the water. Miserable and depressing, but after visiting this surf purgatory I will never complain about my home break again.

POOP - This is the most lame surfbreak ever, better to go to a beach break anywhere around here unless your stupid and want to catch coodies there is a pipe that pours out crap when its a gale when its the only time you can surf here....trust me just for losers with no life or girlfriends.
