Surfing in Winter - My buddy and I were up in the Michigan UP last winter and did some surfing in Lake Superior. It was crazy. You wouldn't think of Michigan as a surfing spot but it is! Just make sure to layer WAY up and have a thick wetsuit. Whole different experience than SoCal.
