English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): When the swell comes from the south (any size) you can choose a spot in 54km of sandy beach. It's a military place, nobody is allowed to get there by the bridge, you have to cross the river by paddle and get into the sea by the drift.
Atmosphère
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): Sometimes, when its realy perfect (common day!!)few locals from Barra de Guaratiba are there, and they are not friendly, some of them think that they're the owners of the spot....ask first!!...but, you can choose a spot after.....54km of beach .
Général
English (Traduisez ce texte en Français): It's a regional classic wave that few people know, if you spent a day surfing there, you can dream that you're surfing in Costa Rica... Many sets breaking alone or with few people surfing there, rights and lefts... Be careful with spinning sharks.... There is no news of shark attacks but I always see many fins around us at the line up. I promise that I will send a digital photo next time.

Marranbai current - Also need be carfully with the change current you can get hit by susprised, Definley ther is a lot sharks out there but a lot food for then so no worry. The waves are real long and nice, some days you can get the best tubes, some days you just can ride, ride, ride.watch out for the military on the beach some times they like to mess with you. Also another place I sugest in Ponta Negra and Jacone this places are like viurgin waves there is a local crowd but nothing that bad I am local from this area, Ponta negra is a real long wave left, also there is a right hand tubular wave take you strait insade the river chanel you drop in front of a rock is really hardcore wave but once you do it you wish to get more and more, Jacone is the Litle sunset beach I saw big harmmer heads shark there but dont worry they have a lot food too :-)
