On it's day - C'mon guys, we all know that any surf beach can be good on its day. Sand banks, tides, outer currents all play their part in creating a good break. I'm the guy who took that photo, and I can tell you that was a good day. High tide, and a beautiful soft right hander at 4 distinct reefs. There were 125+ guys on those 4 breaks. Low tide was huge, barrelling, tight and dangerous. At low there's littlemore than a foot of water, and a reef that would make any disser think twice.Get real, get humble, but most important... get stoked.God Bless

just tasted some long bay waves... mmmmm - yep, 3m NE swell... got to long bay, walked aroung south end point and wnet to far point along. nice right hander, overhead on the takeoff, nice wall to hit and then cutback. very shallow but fn. It even had enough power to keep me smiling and my local is Maori Bay ;-)
