- Rocks
Devils can be a fun fast left peeling off a small point just north of the heavily surfed Bird Rock. The wave is basically a reform when the swell size is double overhead plus and breaking at "Little Makaha" which is over 400yds. out. This limits the size potential and can also cause crappy rips and bounce that often times spoils the wave quality. However it does have it's days and can be good alternative when the crowd pressure of the neighboring breaks becomes unbearable.

Secret Spots - All these surfers that are concerned about these secret spots being put on the Internet, in general, to be revealed need to lighten up on that! The last time I checked in this country, the U.S.A., we have the right to freedom of speech which includes the Internet (amongst other things) and what we put on it including secret spots. These secret spots typically have public access (sometimes a medium to long hike to get to them)and are for the public whether the locals like it or not and legally anyone of us (including the East Co. kooks) can take pictures of them and write about them as well and post this information on the Internet. The main thing would be to do this responsibly and accurately, i.e. check the spot out during different swells and tides, wind and actually surf the spot (several times if need be) before posting. Enough said!

- seriosly, can the person who keeps putting all the la jolla secret-ish spots on the internet please stop. if you surf these waves, youre just messing it up for yourself, and if you dont, youre messing it up for the people who have spent the time to figure these spots out on their own.
