The wave is basically a reform when the swell size is double overhead plus and breaking at "Little Makaha" which is over 400yds. out. This limits the size potential and can also cause crappy rips and bounce that often times spoils the wave quality. However it does have it's days and can be good alternative when the crowd pressure of the neighboring breaks becomes unbearable.
