Low and high tide is harder to surf when the swells are smaller but it is surfable. On bigger days it gets really fun and surfable on any tide.
Atmosphere
The locals are pretty nice around here except on big days when its dangerous. The water isn't bad but a wetsuit is needed most of the year from around October until May.
General
This is a pretty fun spot and everyone goes to the beach closest to the parking lot which is Scripps or La Jolla Shores and no one goes here So I really like it.

false - This isn't Middles. And the sand bars here are terrible. Otherwise your post is right on.

Whaaat! - This is baloney. Middles is a bigger winter reef that is nowhere near scripps.

- absolutely freakin' hilarious. This spot is not "Middles", which is a large winter reef break in another part of LJ. And, to top it off, the spot described here basically sucks balls. Please stay in Clairemont or Poway or wherever you're from.
Nah, I guess it's OK for you to rock up to Green Wall. It's where the biggest barneys tend to "surf".
