English (Traducir este texto en Español): It's one of the best spot of the country.its easy to find yourself too deep on this wave. take off from the shoulder oh ya when changing in the upper parking lot use your towel effectively. People live right across from the parking lot and aren't big fans of surfer's asses hanging out. The outside taka-off is on a shallow reef.

Screw off angry locals. - I feel like being an internet geek so here it goes. I recently surfed mitchell's along with the rest of the surfers on the westside during the last swell. I am a fully capable surfer just like the rest of you out there. I take off on a wave and some punk decides to steal my wave by dropping in on me. I pushed him off his board and finished the wave with style only to be confronted by this average westside surfer rat. I knew what he was going to say before he opened his uneducated mouth so I drew the first blow by paddling away from him saying "Shut the f*** up I dont want to hear it, get over it and just surf. He got in my face and we almost fought. Typical. Luckily for this skinny grom, I decided to leave his face intact. I later left the water because this enraged me so much. I see something like this happen ever surf session in town here. If you are one of the little kids that think they own the water then think again and just surf. Surf, smile and enjoy and the people around you. If you want to remain ignorant and agro, take up wrestling and drop surfing. Localism has its place and should be respected but dont ever think that you are better than someone just because you have never seen them. To the kid who thinks he is above everyone in the lineup at mitchell's: You ruin the stoke of surfing for everyone with your attitude. Stop. Take the waves that are yours and not someone elses and for god's sake smile and be happy that you are blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the world and not starving in what many might consider to be hell. To the rest of the SURFERS here in SC: F*** yeah! How epic was that last south?! Pray for more.

West Coast Local - I'll be in town this week for the swell and will be surfing Mitchell's Cove. I hope the same punk who vibed a stoked surfer try's that on me... I won't be holding back. I'm from Ventura, but have lived all over the West Coast including OR and WA while serving as a rescue swimmer in the USCG. Although I have my spots at home, all of the traveling I have done has caused me to be a newcomer many times. Usually by showing respect and charging I am accepted and end up making some new friends. Other times I have had to have my hands put back together in the hospital after blowing up some punk's face. This is not the way I prefer it, but I won't be backing down to anyone who disrespects the sport I love by claiming the ocean as their own. I WILL fight for it... die for it if I have to. Your choice punk, I'm gonna be surfing there either way. We can be friends or we can get crazy. To the stoked surfer who was dogged by this punk... stay stoked.
