Incoming tides are a hassle here as the current can be so strong that you can barely get out. Big tidal changes. Westport is next to a harbor with a nice fast barrelling left called 'The Cove' on the other side of the breakwater.
Atmosphere
Lots of new surfers; daytrippers from Seattle, new board for Christmasers, etc. surf shop nearby. parking lot chaos on weekends. choke crowded often.
General
Gutless, powerless wave, but closest thing to Seattle.

so...... why are you surfing? - 44 year old grom - love surfing and enjoy people who have the love. Love life, love surfing - whine about life, you'll whine about surfing, simple as that. Love it!

com'on - the jetty is a pretty damn consistent not too shabby of a peak. it gets good often during the winter, with rare world class days through out the year. there are some "locals" and locals who can surf quite well and of course there are some kooks. i hear steep water is across the street from the surf shop now. lol!

zack is a gack - hey Zack...I guess there's nobody in Cali on meth or welfare, huh...pretty sophisticated analysis of Westport coming from a "sponsored" 18-year old. Grow up and grow a sack...come on back after your balls have dropped. Kook.
